Regional

Every year in March or April South Valley Sound Chorus competes in our regional contest right here in Bakersfield. Over thirty quartets and seventeen choruses representing Region from Bishop, Fresno, Merced, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Camarillo, Agoura Hills, Downey, Torrance, Sherman Oaks, Glendale, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Lancaster and Lake Isabella, California and Las Vegas, Nevada come together to sing and compete. In 2009, South Valley Sound earned 5th Place Medal. Mark your calendars and join us for Spring Regional 2010 on Friday and Saturday, March19-20, 2010.

International

Sometime in the fall the winners of all regional contests and "wildcards" compete at the International level. In October of 2009, International Competition was held in Nashville, TN. Mark your calendars and join us for International 2010 in Seatlle, WA on October 19-23, 2010.
