About our Director

Mary Ashford has been directing the South Valley Sound Chorus since 2001. Mary's musical leadership has lead the chorus to three consecutive regional medals, and the chorus has grown from small to midsize during her tenure as director.

Mary is also the bass of the international quartet Shimmer!, is a sought after coach, and the Directors' Coordinator for the Region 11 Regional Management Team.

Mary's passion for education and musical excellence marks her as a innovative and exciting musical leader.
